Belle and Sebastian Announce Live Album What to Look For in Summer

Belle and Sebastian have announced a new double album of live recordings. It’s called What to Look for in Summer and it’s out December 11 via Matador. The 2xLP collects recordings from the band’s 2019 world tour and Boaty Weekender cruise performances. Find videos of their performances of “The Boy With the Arab Strap” and “My Wandering Days Are Over,” as well as the album’s artwork, below.

In a press release, Belle and Sebastian said they took inspiration from live albums including Yes’ Yessongs and Thin Lizzy’s Live and Dangerous. “For a while, the working title of the record was Live and Meticulous,” Stuart Murdoch said in a statement. “The record company really wanted it to be called Live and Meticulous. But I don't like derivative things really.”
