Bella Thorne Went to Michael Bay for Advice on Directing
Bella Thorne has big plans for her career in the coming year, and is going to be work on taking her talents from in front of the camera, to behind it. As she gets ready to embark on a new facet of entertainment, Bella reached out to one of the most prolific directors of our generation for advice, Michael Bay.
The "Midnight Sun" star shared some of her holiday haul after opening presents on Christmas, and revealed the awesome gift her sister gave.

Bella showed off a personalized director's chair with the words "Director" and "Bella Thorne," shimmering. There was even a kitty thrown in for good measure, but the star explained why the gift from her sister meant so much.
"My sister made me the best gift❤️ 2020 is all about directing I’m so excited to start on this movie," Bella explained.
She also revealed that the legendary "Transformers" director was able to sit with her and give some advice on feature directing.
"was lucky enough to share micheal [sic] bays ear over the week about some of the projects I’ll be directing, just so exciting feels like everything is coming together. Wish me luck," she wrote to fans.
It's unclear what kind of advice Bay, known for his high-powered visual effects, stylized cuts and intense explosions, gave to Bella but she was clearly excited about it.
She Directed an Adult Film
Bella clearly got bit with the bug after directing her first feature film, which was produced by Pornhub earlier this year. "Her & Him" is described as depicting an "edgy twenty-something guy who stumbles upon a surprise text in his girlfriend's phone, interrupting their morning routine and spinning everything into an out-of-control sexually charged encounter."
In a behind-the-scenes vignette on the film, Bella explains that her inspiration was about the role reversal between men and women with dominance and submissive behaviors.
"Her & Him" was part of Pornhub's Visionaries Director's Series, and Bella was thankful for the opportunity to direct.
"I'm really lucky that Pornhub wanted to come on and produce this with me because originally I was shopping it around a very long time ago and things were very different," Thorne told CNN.
She added, "People are kind of scared to make a movie like this one when it comes to dominance and submissive(ness) between a male and a female and how this relationship can turn quite sour."
