Bella Hadid shoots down rumors she's back together with the Weeknd

Fans of the Weeknd adore speculating on his love life, going so far as to dissect his latest release for clues he’s referring to his exes. So it stands to reason that people were very interested in a gossipy report stating that he was spotted making out with ex-girlfriend Bella Hadid at Coachella this past weekend.

The only problem? Hadid is asserting that the person he was kissing at the music fest wasn’t her.

E! Online originally reported the news, saying “multiple sources” confirmed what looked like a romantic reunion at a Coachella after-party that involved the two “kissing all night.” The outlet posted an Instagram shot of the couple back in happier days, with the cute notation, “we didn’t feel it coming.”

However, Hadid took it upon herself to comment on the shot, stating simply, “It wasn’t me.”

So who was it, then? If Hadid knows, she’s not telling. She added a shrug emoji and a sleuth emoji to make her point.

Hadid and the singer (real name Abel Tesfaye) had an almost two-year relationship before calling it quits toward the end of 2016. The singer moved on to date Selena Gomez, though they too have since parted ways.

The Weeknd performed at the California desert festival on April 14, giving an emotional performance that included breaking down in tears on stage — leading yet more speculation about which woman is wreaking havoc on his emotions.
