Bella Hadid’s Cannes Film Festival 2024 look is definitely one for the books. It’s like she heard Hollywood is still doing the sheer dress trend and said, “Hold my beer.” The supermodel, who arrived in the South of France over the weekend, hit the Croisette on Monday, May 20, in a show-stopping cinched halter gown that’s so sheer it looks like it’s cut from a nylon body stocking.

The dress as well as the shoes—a pair of peep-toe patent heels—are from Saint Laurent’s fall-winter 2024 collection. Hadid and her stylist, Molly Dickson, nixed the rest of the runway ensemble, which included a furry moss green shawl, a wrist full of chunky bangles, and a slinky cap, in favor of a more stripped back interpretation of the look.
Hadid’s subtle smoky eye and Old Hollywood waves added to her glamorous movie star vibes. Though she’s a model and entrepreneur first and foremost (she just launched her fragrance collection, Orebella, earlier this month), she has dipped her toe into the entertainment industry, appearing in a small role in the Emmy-winning show Ramy in 2022. Maybe the next time she hits the Croisette, it will be as an actor?
For now, Hadid is absolutely killing it in the role of “most stylish supermodel at Cannes.” In addition to her Saint Laurent look, the 27-year-old was photographed in another slinky dress on May 19.

Less than one year after its iOS launch, French startup ten ten has gone viral with a walkie-talkie app that allows teens to send voice messages to their close friends — even when their phone is locked. Whether you think that's a recipe for disaster or the coolest thing you've heard may depend on your age group, and teens clearly heard of that one long before we did; although walkie talkies are clearly not a new concept, even in app form. "We’re ephemeral by design," ten ten co-founder and CEO, Jule Comar said in a written interview with TechCrunch.
