Bell announced it is offering its streaming service Crave free for a month for new subscribers in response to COVID-19.

Crave currently offers new subscribers a seven-day trial period, which will now be extended to 30 days, according to a press release. This offering will be available until April 30 and is available only for first-time, direct-to-consumer subscribers.

Recently, Rogers’ Sportsnet announced it is waiving fees for its SN Now streaming service for “at least the next month,” due to COVID-19.

Netflix announced it will be donating $1 million US between the AFC, a Canadian entertainment industry association, and Fondation des artistes. The donation will be to support workers in the creative community that are affected by COVID-19.

Amazon Prime Canada will also be making a selection of kids and family content available free to watch on Prime Video, a spokesperson said in an email.

This includes Amazon Original kids and family shows, and some third-party family movies and TV series that are licenced in cooperation with other studio partners.
