Rhythm & Blues band Bel-Air brought smiles to moms faces Saturday night at the Firehouse Theater in Alliance when the group performed a free concert in celebration of Mother's Day. About 160 people attended the event, which featured performers Walter Johnson and Dazzle Hawkins of Alliance and Cornelius Parson Sr. and Waymon Griffin III of Akron. Pastor Joyce Williams of Feed My Sheep Ministries/New Beginnings House of God kicked off the event with a prayer. And songwriter/producer Dunn Pearson Jr., who is also known as the “Black Beethoven,” started the music with the song “This is the Day.”
