Beirut Cancel Tour After Zach Condon Diagnosed With Acute Laryngitis

Beirut have cancelled their remaining 2019 tour dates. In a message on Facebook, the band announced that singer Zach Condon had been diagnosed with “acute laryngitis” and advised not to sing or tour, necessitating the cancellation of their scheduled performances through the end of the year. Beirut’s next scheduled date was to be a September 30 performance in Stockholm, Sweden. The band has been touring behind Gallipoli, which was released earlier this year.
