Last week on Raw Rhea Ripley announced that she had suffered an injury and as a result, vacated her WWE Women’s Championship. Last night on Monday Night Raw fans saw a new champion crowned in a Battle Royal. It was none other than The Man Becky Lynch. The Lass-Kicker eliminated Liv Morgan to get her hands raised.

Following the match, Jackie Redmond caught up with Becky Lynch to gather her thoughts on finally being able to capture the new Women’s World Title.

“Yeah, feels great to hear. I’ve never held this championship before. And look at it. It’s beautiful. It’s beautiful. Look, for the last few months, Rhea even said it. I’ve been burning the candle at all ends. I’ve been away from my daughter for weeks on end. Got myself a New York Times Best Seller for a da*n near month so far. But man, it’s worth it. It’s worth it man. Because the words of my book are written on my gear. And it reminds me why I do this, where I started, where I’ve gotten to. And we are just going up baby! We are just going up.”

The Man mentioned that everything she does is to make her daughter proud.

“Well, everything I do, I want to make her proud. And, I hope she’s proud. She did [stay up to watch the match]. I got a text from my husband, who is recovering from surgery. And at all stages, we need at least one champ in the house. I’m bringing her home baby!”

Lynch also assured that she will be a workhorse champion.

“Da*n straight you can [expect Becky Lynch to be a Workhorse champion], Becky Lynch said.
