Bibi and Becky G are bandidas. On Thursday night, the two stars released the video for their single “Amigos,” which sees the two musicians driving away after stealing from a group of men at a pool party. The song allowed them to “step outside” of their comfort zones and music styles, Bibi and Becky G tell Rolling Stone.

“This collaboration allowed me to broaden my artistry, pushing boundaries and fusing distinct genres,” Becky tells Rolling Stone. “The sultry lyrics express our empowered and bold sides. As an artist who loves to collaborate, I welcome any opportunity to step outside my comfort zone to create innovative and fresh sounds.”

The opening scene of the Mutant-directed video is reminiscent of Lady Gaga and Beyoncé’s iconic “Telephone” video, as the two stars suspiciously drive an old car on the freeway. The video shows the two stars pulling the car to the side before joining a nearby pool party.

Bibi and Becky then divide and conquer as they flirt with the guys at the party before taking a mysterious turn as the protagonists are seen taking watches and jewelry from the guys. The video ends with the women posing by their getaway car as sirens blare in the background.

Bibi tells Rolling Stone that she’s “overjoyed” that the song — which hears the musicians singing in Korean, English, and Spanish — is finally out in the world.

“Becky and I first met last year and ever since we’ve been trying to release a song together,” Bibi tells Rolling Stone. “Collaborating with Becky really pushed me to step out of my comfort zone creatively and I love how it turned out.”

“‘Amigos’ is a testament to the magic that happens as a result of two artists coming together to create something truly special for their fans,” adds Becky.

This is not the first time either singer forays into Latin music and K-Pop. Bibi recently tapped Chilean singer Princess Alba on a remix of “Bibi Vengeance,” while Becky G collaborated with BTS’ J-Hope in 2019 for a recreation of “Chicken Noodle Soup.”

Recently, Becky released her música Mexicana LP Esquinas featuring songs like “La Nena” with Gabito Ballesteros, “Cries in Spanish” with DannyLux, and “Chanel” with Peso Pluma. Meanwhile, Bibi released singles “Hongdae R&B” and “Hangang Gongwon” over the summer. Her last album, Lowlife Princess: Noir, came in November 2022.
