Beaver County has the region's newest holiday lights attraction; here's a full list

NEW SEWICKLEY TWP. ― Get in the holiday spirit as you stride through Enchanted Lights – A Magical Christmas Stroll, the region's newest holiday lights attraction, located in Beaver County.

Tucked in the woods of Three Rivers Paintball − the annual Halloween home to Zombies of the Corn − Enchanted Lights opens Nov. 24 and will run weekends through Jan. 5.

The Krischke family turned its 70-acre New Sewickley Township property, near Cranberry Township, into an outdoor winter wonderland. Visitors to the outdoor, walk-through event will see a dazzling display of twinkling lights, festive decorations and delightful surprises aimed at filling families with holiday cheer. They also can enjoy hot chocolate and roast s’mores around the site's campfires, ensconced in a tapestry of shimmering lights.

Boyd & Blair, the award-winning vodka maker from O'Hara Township, plans a Holiday Market Pop-Up Bar on-site. “We are so excited to launch Enchanted Lights," owner Debra Dion Krischke said.

"We’ve been planning and building for over a year, so finally sharing it with our guests will mean a lot,” daughter and co-creator Alex Krischke said. “I’ve grown up helping produce events with my parents, and I’ve learned so much from them. This is a dream I’ve had for years, and I’m hopeful that it will become my stamp on the family legacy.”

Admission is $24.99 for adults, $19.99 for children, with timed ticketing sold in advance at EnchantedLightsPittsburgh.com Entrance hours are 6 to 9:15 p.m., with the leisurely walks estimated to last 40-60 minutes.

Enchanted Lights is at 282 Rochester Road.

Parking is $5 with proceeds split between Cross Your Paws Dog Rescue and The LightHouse Foundation, a Christian outreach organization meeting the needs of impoverished people in northern Allegheny and Butler counties.

Joy of Christmas Drive-Thru Light Show, Harvey S. Firestone Recreational Park, Columbiana, Ohio. 100+ displays, Gingerbread House, Santa’s Ice Castle and more. $20 per vehicle; Sundays $10 entry for all First Responders and seniors. The 15th annual event takes place 6-9 p.m. Thursdays through Sundays, from Nov. 17 to Dec. 24. Along with drive-thru displays, JOC offers $1 concessions benefiting local nonprofit and civic organizations, photos with Santa ($15), reindeer food activity for children, indoor train display. The event benefits the Columbiana Area Tourism Bureau.

Dazzling Nights at Pittsburgh Botanic Garden, featuring a million dazzling lights and a journey through a field of 2,000 illuminated flowers, plus music, Nov. 24, to Jan. 1. The second annual event's immersive lighting displays range from dozens of hand-made Moroccan Lanterns hanging from treetops, to a tunnel of giant stars, a 30-foot-stained glass tree, a walkway of interactive lights that illuminate when you step on them and a Lotus Pond, featuring 100 beacons of light, 10 feet tall, dancing to music. Sweet treats, and holiday (and adult) beverages, too. Pittsburgh Botanic Garden, 799 Pinkerton Run Road, North Fayette Township. Timed entry will take place from 5:30 to 9 p.m. Adult tickets start at $22, Children ages 3-13 start at $19. Merry Christmas in Chippewa, a Dec. 2 event at Wright fields at Veterans Park, which includes a walk-through Christmas lights display along with Santa, vendors, food trucks, ice skating and inflatables. Hours are 4-8 p.m. for the free event.

Hopewell Township Holiday Express invites all aboard, from 4-7 p.m. Dec. 2, for a fun-filled evening at Hopewell Community Park themed around the popular Christmas movie "The Polar Express." Take a make-believe train ride to the North Pole and visit with Santa Claus. Hot chocolate and cookies will be available during a showing of the movie. A free model train exhibit will be there, too.

Christmas in The Park/The Let There Be Lights Festival in Ellwood City begins 6-9 p.m. Dec. 1 with the festival. Lawrence Avenue will close to traffic from Fourth Street to Sixth Street as Ellwood City ignites with the Christmas spirit. There will be street vendors and festive storefronts, horse-drawn carriage rides, the Sanctuary Jazz Brass Choir, master of ceremonies Vaughn Hudspath, the Riverside High School Chorus, a performance by New Castle Playhouse lead lady Holly Marshall, Santa and beats by a DJ. ellwoodchamber.org/etn/let-there-be-lights/ Beginning Dec. 2 through Dec. 23, Christmas in the Park is a magical journey of Christmas lights and festive displays in Ewing Park, nightly from 6-9.

Kennywood Park Holiday Lights with more than 2 million lights, Santa, model trains and nearly 20 kid and family attractions at the West Mifflin amusement park. Opens weekends starting Nov. 18 and the full week after Christmas. Tickets are $19.99 to $39.99 at kennywoodpark.com.

Oglebay Festival of Lights runs now through Jan. 7 at Oglebay Park in Wheeling, W.Va. One of the nation's largest annual holiday lights shows launched in 1985, and attracts more than one million visitors each year. The event features 300 acres of twinkling lights over a six-mile drive, and over 100 lighted attractions boasting more than one million energy-efficient LED lights. oglebay.com

North Park Holiday Drive-In Laser Show runs Dec. 8-10, Dec. 13-23 for its fourth year at Allegheny County's North Park. Families enjoy from their own vehicles parked at the North Park Swimming Pool Parking Lot on South Ridge Drive. Visitors can choose from session times at alleghenycounty.us., each accommodating 200 cars.

Zoo Lights at the Pittsburgh Zoo & Aquarium, select nights Nov. 24 through Dec. 30. The fourth annual drive-through event, due to popular demand, has added special walk-thru nights. Features thousands of eco-friendlylights and illuminated animals twinkling on over 150 displays, including new images of this year’s Zoobabies. Iconic Pittsburgh favorites are also featured this year, including an animated recreation of Eat’nPark’s classic Christmas tree and star commercial, as well as Daniel Tiger and friends from regionalpartners, Fred Rogers Productions. A downloadable podcast brings seasonal music to each vehicle. All guestsin the vehicle are covered by a flat $45 admission. pittsburghzoo.org.
