Beauty and Mr. Romantic Episode 20 Recap & Spoilers: Im Soo-Hyang Is Confused With Ji Hyun-Woo’s Concerning Behavior

Beauty and Mr. Romantic episode 20 aired last night on May 26, 2024. The ongoing rom-com drama, starring Ji Hyun-Woo and Im Soo-Hyang, is introducing new twists and turns in the storyline. Directed by Hong Seok-Goo, the recent episodes of the series have unlocked new emotions in the characters.

The narrative of the drama revolves around the top actress, Park Do-Ra, and a passionate assistant-producing director, Go Pil-Seung. When Do-Ra (Im Soo-Hyang) faces a rough patch in her career, Pil-Seung (Ji Hyun-Woo) helps her get back on her feet. In the process, they fall in love with each other. However, after a merciless rumor spreads about Do-Ra, she meets her tragic end.

Soon, a new character named Ji Young is introduced, who looks like Do-Ra. Curious to know about her, Pil-Seung runs a DNA test, and it shows that she’s none other than Do-Ra. But due to the accident, she has lost her memories.

Beauty and Mr. Romantic episode 20: Ji Hyun-Woo & Im Soo-Hyang come closer

Beauty and Mr. Romantic episode 20 begins with Ma Ri’s father asking Pil-Seung to be his son-in-law. After a lengthy conversation, Pil-Seung’s grandmother is too excited for this marriage to happen, as Ma Ri’s family is quite wealthy. However, Pil-Seung’s family wants to put his feelings first. When they ask about his opinion, he strictly rejects it. In the meantime, Ji Young gets involved with Gong Jin-Dan. They go for dinner, and as she returns from it, Pil-Seung seems to be too angry with her.

Pil-Seung (Ji Hyun-Woo) scolds her and tells her not to go anywhere with any man. His concerning behavior confuses Ji-Young. She further thinks about it and comes to him to talk about it. She asks if he likes her or not and, at the same time, confesses her feelings. However, Pil-Seung says no and waits for Park Do-Ra to return to him. The next day, at the shoot location, Ji Young gets a flashback of her memory and experiences a panic attack. Pil-Seung takes her home and attends to her as she suffers from a fever. Ji Young further gets past flashbacks where she was getting cussed at and eggs were thrown at her. Pil-Seung comforts her, and they get very close to each other.

Meanwhile, Pil-Seung’s dating life has become a topic of gossip. His mother and grandmother come to Ji-Young to warn her about their bond. She assures them that there’s nothing to worry about and thinks to follow the same for her feelings too. The episode of Beauty and Mr. Romantic gets more interesting when Jin Dan calls her out for dinner again, and as she is returning from it, she finds Pil-Seung standing with a bouquet. He confesses his feelings, but she denies it. The next day, Pil-Seung gets a larger bouquet but finds Ji Young with Jin Dan. What will happen to their relationship dynamics?
