The Russell Wilson saga has dominated the NFL world this week as trade rumors surfaced after his agent revealed that Wilson would accept a trade to four teams, including the Chicago Bears.

Well, as you expected, the feeling is mutual.

NFL Network’s Mike Garafolo joined 950 KJR in Seattle to discuss the Wilson situation, including how the Bears have been “very persistent” in “reciprocating the interest” in Wilson.

Still, Garafolo noted, the Seahawks don’t have any plans to part ways with Wilson this offseason…although that could change next year.

The Bears are a franchise desperate for solid quarterback play, which is why they’ve been linked in trade discussions for Deshaun Watson, Matthew Stafford, Carson Wentz and Derek Carr.

While it’s not likely the Seahawks will trade Wilson, the fact that Chicago is among those teams that he’d be open to joining should have general manager Ryan Pace calling them nonstop to try and pry him away.

Especially given Pace and head coach Matt Nagy’s futures depend on a successful 2021 season, which starts with fixing the quarterback position.
