‘The Bear’ Season 3 Trailer: Jeremy Allen White, Ayo Edebiri Deal With a “Dysfunctional Kitchen”

The Bear is about to get more dysfunctional.

FX released a brief trailer for season three on Friday, offering a preview of the chaos to come after Jeremy Allen White’s Carmy opens the new restaurant alongside Sydney (Ayo Edebiri) and Richie (Ebon Moss-Bachrach).

After opening their now revamped restaurant — they transformed their sandwich shop last season — the trio and team experience tension as they face the pressure of delivering excellent service and dining.

“I’m getting drilled out there,” Moss-Bachrach’s Richie can be seen telling Carmy. The pair are later shown getting in a confrontation. The team will face even more mishaps including food and silverware dropping on the floor, the stove catching on fire and more.

“This is a dysfunctional kitchen,” Sydney says, with both Carmy and Richie responding, “Show me a functional one.”

Earlier this month, FX offered the first glimpse at the new season with Carmy alone in the restaurant’s new kitchen in the middle of the night. As he looks into the camera, it zooms out and pans over the Chicago skyline.

FX describes the upcoming season as follows: “Carmy pushes himself harder than ever and demands excellence from his crew, who do their best to match his intensity. Their quest for culinary excellence will propel the crew to new levels and stress the bonds that hold the restaurant together. As the team grows in size, each member will strive to reach a greater level of service within their role. In the restaurant industry, you’re never on solid ground, and with that ever-changing landscape comes new challenges and opportunities. Our chefs have learned that every second counts, but this season we’ll find out if they have what it takes to make it to tomorrow.”

Abby Elliott, Lionel Boyce, Liza Colón-Zayas, Matty Matheson, Oliver Platt and Molly Gordon also star in the series. Christopher Storer, Matheson, Josh Senior, Joanna Calo, Cooper Wehde, Tyson Bidner and Hiro Murai serve as executive producers alongside Courtney Storer, who is also The Bear‘s culinary producer.

Sources previously told The Hollywood Reporter that The Bear has already been renewed for season four and filmed the installment back-to-back with season three to allow the show to abide by its annual release target.

All episodes of season three will release on June 27 and will be available to stream on Hulu.
