Bayley Breaks Silence on Damage CTRL Getting Drafted to WWE RAW

WWE Women’s Champion Bayley reacts to her former faction getting drafted to WWE RAW. For months leading up to WWE WrestleMania 40, Bayley was in an intense rivalry with Damage CTRL. The rivalry began when Bayley decided to challenge Iyo Sky for her WWE Women’s Championship following her Royal Rumble win.

Dakota Kai, who initially sided with Bayley during the feud, ultimately betrayed her on an episode of WWE SmackDown. Despite facing odds stacked against her at the WrestleMania 40, Bayley overcame them. On night two of WrestleMania 40, she defeated Iyo Sky and claimed the WWE Women’s Championship.

Following Bayley’s win at WWE WrestleMania 40, she hasn’t come face-to-face with Damage CTRL. Now, with the WWE 2024 draft finally concluded, it appears the faction won’t be a problem for Bayley. In the latest edition of WWE RAW, in round one of the draft, the red brand acquired Damage CTRL. With Damage CTRL now drafted to the red brand, Bayley has reacted to the news on X (formerly Twitter).

With Damage CTRL drafted to WWE RAW, they have already set their sights on the top champion, Becky Lynch. In a backstage segment on WWE RAW, Becky Lynch congratulated Liv Morgan for her win over Nia Jax. Then, they were confronted by the Damage CTRL faction.

Bayley discusses respect for her WWE Backlash opponents

Meanwhile, Bayley, preparing to defend her WWE Women’s title at WWE Backlash in France this weekend, discussed her opponents Naomi and Tiffany Stratton. In an interview on the Smackdown Lowdown, she expressed her admiration for her rivals at WWE Backlash France.

Bayley stated, “I’m excited, now I finally get my first title defense unless Nia wants to ruin that just like Tiffany ruined it last week. I need to calm down. Naomi’s my friend. I’m excited to share the ring with her. Tiffany, I actually would have done the same thing. She made a statement. She made a bold statement coming after me.”

Bayley further added, “She made a bold statement attacking me and Naomi last week and she made a bold statement tonight.”

She concluded by saying, “She made a bold statement on SmackDown that this is what she wants and where else are you gonna go if you’re not shooting for the top, right? I can respect that. I respect that. I’m gonna be in the ring with two women that I respect. Look at that. What a great night it’s gonna be, huh? I’m feeling a little crazy. It’s not your fault. I need a cool off and if you see Nia, Tell her we’re not done yet, alright? Tell her the women’s champ is looking for her.“

Additionally, Bayley hasn’t overlooked Nia Jax, who attacked her this past Friday on SmackDown during Naomi and Tiffany Stratton’s match. Thus, it has to be seen what unfolds for WWE Women’s Champion Bayley in the future.
