Batman and Robin blast off in Return of the Caped Crusaders clip

If there’s one thing the Adam West-starring Batman TV series of the 1960s taught us, it’s that the Dark Knight is prepared for anything — even a little outer space action.

In an exclusive clip from the new animated movie Batman: Return of the Caped Crusaders, which takes its inspiration from the old-school show, the Dynamic Duo climb aboard their very own rocket ship to battle bad guys in orbit.

“Gosh, Batman, I never thought we’d need the Bat Rocket on one of our cases,” Robin says.

“An intergalactic spaceship is just another tool in a crime fighter’s arsenal,” Batman replies.

In addition to featuring the voices of original Batman cast members Adam West (Batman), Burt Ward (Robin), and Julie Newmar (Catwoman), Return of the Caped Crusaders boasts the same campy humor and colorful imagery that defined the show. Watch the clip above for more.
