Batman Makes Cameo in New 'Suicide Squad' Trailer
During the MTV Movie Awards, Will Smith, Jared Leto, Margot Robbie, and Cara Delevingne officially revealed the new Suicide Squad trailer featuring all-new footage from the newest DC Comics film. It reveals a team being assembled from the world’s most dangerous villains for a dangerous mission to take on a powerful entity. The villains are promised a clean criminal slate for undertaking the mission, but there’s a catch — it will probably kill them.
The sneak peek also features an extended look at the misadventures of the “worst heroes ever,” including Jared Leto’s Joker, Will Smith’s Deadshot, and even a glimpse of Batman and the Batmobile. And while the Suicide Squad is part of DC’s grimmer, darker universe, the trailer sold the film as a frothy violent action comedy. The cast of comic book also includes, among others, Harley Quinn (Robbie), Enchantress (Delevingne), Captain Boomerang (Jai Courtney), Rick Flag (Joel Kinnaman), Killer Croc (Adewale Akinnuoye-Agbaje), El Diablo (Jay Hernandez).
Suicide Squad, the next installment of the DC cinematic universe, will hit theaters on Aug. 5.
