Based on the film, the musical ‘Once’ continues at GhostLight Theatre in Benton Harbor

BENTON HARBOR — “Once” continues Aug. 17 to 20 at GhostLight Theatre, 101 Hinkley St.

Based on the 2007 film and written by Glen Hansard, Markéta Irglová and Enda Walsh, the musical traces the relationship of a Dublin street musician and Czech immigrant who bond over music.

Over the course of one fateful week, an unexpected friendship and collaboration quickly evolves into a powerful but complicated love story, underscored by emotionally charged music, including the Academy Award-winning “Falling Slowly.”

Performances are at 7:30 p.m. Aug. 17-19 and 3 p.m. Aug. 20.
