Barry Williams is in it to win it.

On Tuesday night's Halloween episode of Dancing With the Stars, the former Brady Bunch star and partner Peta Murgatroyd landed their highest scores yet from a four-person judging panel with a total of 31 from the three core judges and guest judge Niecy Nash-Betts.

After his breakthrough last week dancing a Paso Doble, Williams was feeling the pressure going into the night. "I didn't make any mistakes and got our best scores yet," he said in the rehearsal video package. "I needed a breakthrough and that was it. We definitely can't make more mistakes now. We're at midseason and I feel like I'm just hitting my stride."

Dancing a Viennese waltz to "It's A Man's, Man's, Man's World" by James Brown, Williams was determined to build on his success to continue his pursuit of the Len Goodman Mirrorball Trophy. "I'm having the time of my life," he added. "I'm trying hard to nail the choreography. I's crucial that I deliver a good performance so the judges know I'm a real contender."

Dressed as the Big Bad Wolf pursuing Murgatroyd's Little Red Riding Hood, Williams delivered. Some of the judges nitpicked, with Derek Hough noting that Williams lost some of his frame and the form of the dance in giving himself over to the character.

But notoriously discerning judge Carrie Ann Inaba had only praise. "I thought it was absolutely incredible," she told the duo. "You gave an education on how to move through space. It was wonderful."

This praise resulted in the pair's highest total score with four people at the table (last week remains their highest score from the main three judges). Williams and Murgatroyd once again earned eights from Inaba and Bruno Tonioli, with a seven from Hough, who drew boos with his critical take on the number. Nash-Betts brought the score up to 31 with another eight.

Williams previously told EW that his goal on season 32 is to win it all, but at the very least to beat out TV sister Maureen McCormick, who made it to week 7 on season 23. Should Williams and Murgatroyd's scores get them safely through Halloween, he'll at least have made it that far.

Dancing With the Stars airs Tuesdays at 8 p.m. ET/PT on ABC and Disney+ and streams the following day on Hulu.
