Barry Keoghan is an impeccable actor, known for his scene-stealing roles in The Banshees of Inisherin, The Killing of a Sacred Deer, and The Batman—but he also has great taste. In the latest episode of Esquire’s "In or Out," the 30-year-old actor shared quite a few strong opinions.

When asked if Irish impressions were in, the Dublin-born actor laughed and said, “Oh god, don’t do that!” Keoghan then joked that he struggles to form a Gaelic drawl. “If I have to put on an Irish accent in a movie it’s very, you know—you don’t want to get it wrong.” That, of course, proved to be no issue while Keoghan filmed The Banshees of Inisherin. Call it luck, or perhaps a hometown advantage, but his accent sounded just fine to me.

Later on,Keoghan happily shared what is in. Apparently, when he’s not running through lines, the man enjoys watching football. “[Lionel] Messi is in, obviously,” Keoghan declared. “I feel like that should be a Ronaldo or Messi question rather than an in or out question.” As for his favorite player? I’ll give you a hint, he’s 5’7 and had quite a bit of fun in Miami this summer. “I’d have to say Messi,” Keoghan said with a smile.

So there you have it. Messi’s in—and impersonations are out. If you want to hear more of Keoghan’s hilarious takes, check out his “In or Out” video above.
