The movie was officially released July 21 and has since generated over $1 billion in ticket sales worldwide, making it the biggest box office opening for a female director.

But when will "Barbie" be available on streaming platforms? Here's what we know.

When does 'Barbie' leave theaters?

The "Barbie" movie is rumored to leave theaters on Saturday, Aug. 19, according to the entertainment site ComingSoon.net. That's just over four weeks after its initial release date. But make sure to check your local theater for showtimes, as Warner Bros. has not confirmed this date.

When will 'Barbie' be available for streaming?

According to Variety, the “Barbie” movie will be available digitally Sept. 5. It’s available to pre-order on Amazon for $24.99. The film will likely make its way to the streaming service Max by late September or early October 2023, People reports.

In addition to the digital release, Blu-ray and DVD versions of the movie are also available for pre-order at Amazon, Walmart and Target.
