Barack Obama Wishes Michelle a Happy Birthday with Adorable Pictures
There are sweet birthday wishes, and then there's the former president of the United States sharing adorable candid photos of you to celebrate your birthday. Michelle Obama turns 56 today, and Barack Obama took to Twitter to make sure that the entire world knew about it.
In the pictures, the couple pose in black and white photos that could have been taken in a photo booth. They have their arms wrapped around one another, and look as in love as two people can be.

They also feature the former president flashing a peace sign and planting a kiss on his wife's cheek. They're a reminder that true love does exist, or at least it certainly feels like it does.
"In every scene, you are my star, @MichelleObama! Happy birthday, baby," Obama captioned the tweet. This is not the first time that the former president has made time to send his wife all his love in the aftermath of his eight years as the president.
During Michelle's book tour to promote her book "Becoming" in 2019, Barack surprised his wife with a bouquet of flowers. He also shared a few words about his incredible wife. "I had that somebody who was that strong and that honest — somebody who I just felt was a rock, somebody who I knew at that point I would always be able to count on, and someone who that, if she were the mother of my children, I knew my children would turn out extraordinary," he said.
On their 27th wedding anniversary, the two of them also took some time to honor one another on social media. The former president shared a photo of the two of them with their backs to the camera as they hugged against a beautiful sunset.
"Like the Beatles said: It’s getting better all the time," President Obama wrote in the caption for the photo. "Thanks, babe, for 27 amazing years!" Michelle also paid tribute to her husband on social media on their anniversary.
"27 years ago, this guy promised me a life full of adventure. I’d say he’s delivered" Michelle wrote in a caption to a photo of the two of them at the beach. "Here’s to our next chapter of becoming empty nesters and discovering what’s next—while still feeling the magic that brought us together all those years ago. Happy anniversary, Barack."
Adventure is certainly one word for it. When your husband's president for eight years, you certainly get the chance to do amazing things.
