Bam Margera’s Wife Claims He Threatened Her Holding A Knife To His Own Throat

Former skateboarded Brandon Margera, known more commonly as Bam Margera, is a skateboarder, stunt performer, and television personality.

Although he was married to Missy Rothstein from 2007 to 2012, his messy split from estranged wife Nicole Boyd, who he married in 2013, is making headlines. According to court documents obtained by The Blast, she is claiming that not only has he threatened her, but he also held a knife to his own throat.

According to court documents obtained by The Blast, Nicole claims that she and Bam were married on October 5, 2013, after dating for several years. Although they were supposed to get married in Iceland, Nicole claims that she only selected her wedding dress and let him take care of the other details.

“We had the wedding ceremony during a concert, we said our vows, and we were married (or at least I thought),” she wrote in her declaration. “From that point on, Bam always referred to me as his wife, and I referred to him as my husband.”

She claims that she never heard that the pair “weren’t officially married” until after they had separated. “I started hearing it from Bam whenever he wanted to threaten me, again after we had separated,” she wrote. To make things even more complicated, Bam and Nicole are parents to a son named Phoenix, who was born in December 2017.

Nicole notes that she has made a career out of being a “risk taker and leveraging extreme behavior.” She wrote, “I will not spend significant time detailing that rocky course of our marriage, which has been filled with various rehab stints, arrests, and brief periods of recovery, and always in the public eye. However, I will say that now, with my son, I need to create a peaceful and steady life that is inconsistent with the ups and downs and dangerous behavior we get pulled into, particularly when Bam is on a bender but even when he is sober.”

Nicole Alleges That Bam Became 'Aggressive' With Her When She Visited Him In Rehab In 2022

Although he has entered rehab several times, Nicole alleges that his “unpredictable behavior escalated toward the end of April 2021.” She alleges that Bam “held a knife to his own throat and yelled threatening words at me and alleged that I did not love him, making me fear for his life as well as my safety.”

Nicole said that she “panicked” and called her brother, who traveled down from northern California with her mother in order to assist. “At the time, I had no car of my own, and could not leave the house without someone’s help,” she alleged. She said that she was able to retrieve her belongings in early May and went to stay with her mother or her brother from May 2021 to September 2022.

She claims that, despite the incident, she did try to support Bam while he was in rehab in Tampa, Florida, in late May or early June 2022. She said that she ‘made it clear” to Bam that she was “not moving to Florida, but only visiting so that Bam could get better.” However, Nicole alleged, “When Bam started acting aggressive towards me, even with the therapists from his rehab center present, I came back to California with Phoenix.”

Nicole went on to say, “Bam has lived all sorts of placed [sic] since the night in April 2022 when he threatened to kill himself by holding a knife to his own throat, and has all sorts of legal troubles.”

Bam Margera Leaves Rehab To Head To Vegas

Although Bam Margera had been trying to get help in San Diego at Odom Wellness Treatment Centers, TMZ reported earlier this week that Bam left the program early in order to spend the weekend in Las Vegas.

Lamar Odom reportedly tried desperately to convince Bam to stay and finish up his treatment, but it seems he was unable to convince the TV personality, who was spotted dining in Malibu with a friend on Thursday night.

Bam started his latest detox on June 7, after law enforcement officials put him on a 5150 psychiatric hold. The hold was prompted by a video rant where he threatened to smoke crack until he died if he was not allowed to see his son, Phoenix.
