A group of mourners released balloons outside a McDonald’s restaurant in Chicago, on April 19, in memory of a seven-year-old girl shot dead at the drive-thru on Sunday, April 18.

This footage, by William E Hall, shows a crowd of people counting down before releasing the brightly colored balloons. “It’s a masterpiece,” a child is heard saying in the footage.

The seven-year-old who was killed was identified by local media as Jaslyn Adams. According to Fox 6, she was pronounced dead in a hospital after being shot while sitting in a car with her father at the McDonald’s drive-thru in the North Lawndale neighborhood.
