What, you thought Baker Mayfield was just going to stay out of sight all week and then walk into the Rose Bowl without any commotion? Not this Heisman winner. No way.

After battling some flu-like symptoms and mostly keeping to himself while No. 2 Oklahoma prepared to take on No. 3 Georgia in the College Football Playoff semifinal Monday, Mayfield’s entrance into one of the sport’s most sacred venues was perfectly on brand.

Rocking a hoodie, sunglasses and a backpack, Mayfield arrived in Pasadena holding a large “Pretenders” sign and looking has calm and collected as ever.

This is almost as good as Mayfield arriving for a matchup against Texas Tech (his former school) wearing a traitor t-shirt. Mayfield finished that game with 281 yards and four touchdowns, so it’s not like he doesn’t back up his trash talk.

It’s honestly becoming a toss-up between which Mayfield is better at: quarterbacking or trolling.

Either way, both will, evidently, be on display when the Rose Bowl kicks off at 5:00 p.m. ET on ESPN.
