Bagley Community Theater to hold auditions for 'Footloose'

Apr. 16—BAGLEY — The Bagley Community Theater will hold auditions for "Footloose" from 4 to 6 p.m. on Sunday, April 21, and 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. on Monday, April 22, at the Bagley High School Auditorium, 1130 Main Ave. N.

The Bagley Theater is seeking actors for this high-energy musical filled with some of America's favorite characters and songs, a release said.

The cast includes 12 to 15 young adult actors ranging from ages 15 to 25 and 12 to 15 adult actors over age 25.

Auditioners should prepare a short monologue or reading and approximately 32 bars of an up-tempo song.

No experience is necessary and adults of all experience and ability levels may try out.

"Cut loose, Footloose, kick off your Sunday shoes and join the fun," the release said.

This is an open audition so no appointment is necessary; participants will fill out a form when they arrive.

Rehearsals begin April 29 and will be two evenings per week for most actors. More rehearsals will be added starting in June, the release said.

Individuals who are not able to make it to one of the audition days can email director Marilyn Hood at
