"He's got size physically and he can run and he can jump," Badin coach Nick Yordy said of Moore. "UC's looking at him as a safety and I think he really can excel at that position. They're getting a really good football player."

On the Division III state runner-ups, Moore had seven interceptions for 128 yards leading the Greater Catholic League-Coed Division. The Rams were 14-1 losing to Chardon in the state title game.

As a receiver, he had 61 catches for 655 yards and four touchdowns and he also returned a punt for 63 yards and a score.

"He put a lot of weight on in the offseason and committed to the weight room," Yordy said. "He's transformed his body since our last game in the state championship. Once they (recruiters) physically saw him in person, schools realized the type of athlete he is."

Among those offering Moore in addition to UC were Boston College, Duke, Illinois, Indiana, Minnesota, Pitt and West Virginia.

"I'm excited to get down there," Yordy said. "At least he's close so I can get down there and watch some games. I think being able to stay close and have friends and family have the ability to come to games definitely played a little bit of a roll in his decision."
