Legendary punk bands Bad Religion and Social Distortion are teaming up for a co-headlining 2024 US tour. The outing will see Social D performing their classic debut album Mommy’s Little Monster in its entirety to mark its 40th anniversary.

These are the first announced Social Distortion shows since frontman Mike Ness revealed in June that he was battling tonsil cancer, forcing the band to cancel a planned Summer 2023 tour.

The Spring 2024 outing kicks off April 9th in Bakersfield, California, and runs through a May 18th show in Chicago, with support from The Lovebombs. Artist pre-sales start today (December 12th) at noon local time via Ticketmaster using the code SUFFER or BALLANDCHAIN. A Live Nation pre-sale starts Wednesday (December 13th) at 10 a.m. local time using the code CREW, while a general onsale begins Friday (December 15th).

Fans can also check for deals or pick up tickets to sold-out shows via StubHub, where your purchase is 100% guaranteed through StubHub’s Fan Protect program.

Ness stated, “It gives me great pleasure to announce that in April we will be going on a nationwide co-headlining tour with our friends in Bad Religion. Yes, we are back in action and can’t wait for this tour! We did this with them in Australia in 2022 and the shows were amazing! We have also decided in celebration of the 40-year anniversary and re-release of Mommy’s Little Monster that we will be playing the album in its entirety. This should be a very special tour and we are all looking forward to it.”

Bad Religion singer Greg Graffin added, “Bad Religion and Social Distortion played together in 1980. Though we evolved in different directions, we both carried the torch of Southern California punk all along the way. Now we’re so excited to be on the same stage again.”

Mommy’s Little Monster came out in 1983, so technically 2023 marks the 40th anniversary, but given that Social D were sidelined as Ness underwent cancer treatment, the band is celebrating the LP next year. Among its classic songs are “The Creeps,” “Another State of Mind,” and the title track.
