Bad Bunny may have skyrocketed into mainstream fame, but he's still close to his siblings, Bernie and Bysael Martínez Ocasio.

The Puerto Rican singer and rapper, whose real name is Benito Antonio Martínez Ocasio, is known for keeping his close friends and family by his side, including his two brothers.

“Many artists become famous, and they suddenly start to change their circle of people, and then people start to filter through,” the musician told GQ in 2022.

He added, “I continue to surround myself with the same people. I keep my same circle. I’m always in contact with my family, even when I can’t see them."

Bad Bunny is the oldest of three boys born in 1994; followed by Bernie in 1997 and Bysael in 2002. The "Monaco" artist has appeared publicly with his younger brothers and has even taken them on tour.

Here's everything to know about Bad Bunny’s siblings: Bernie and Bysael Martínez Ocasio.

They grew up in rural Puerto Rico

Bad Bunny and his siblings grew up in a rural area of Vega Baja outside of San Juan, Puerto Rico.

Their father was a truck driver, and their mother was a school teacher who taught English. The three brothers were raised by devout Catholic parents. Bad Bunny's mom, in particular, encouraged him to pursue his musical ambitions in the local church's children's choir, as he told The Fader magazine.

In 2020, the rapper shared with The New York Times that conversation at home was about “the light bill, the vieja on the corner who died, cancer diagnoses,” and that they were “a normal family caught up in the quotidian.”

He revealed that his parents worked "to maintain," so when they visited the island's capital, it was a different world to them.

“You have to understand that I was just a country kid,” he said. “I didn’t even know where I was. I was standing there trying to ask someone Where’s Walmart? Where’s GameStop?"

Bad Bunny's brother Bernie made his runway debut walking in the Willy Chavarria SS24 show at New York Fashion Week in September 2023. He appeared in a periwinkle blue suit, white boots and a cream-colored cowboy hat for the collection the Mexican-American designer titled "New Life," per Harper's Bazaar.

He also starred in the campaign for Bad Bunny’s latest collaboration with Adidas, a new iteration of the archival Response CL sneaker.

The athletic brand revealed the new design in October 2023 with a video in which Bernie marches across desert terrain in a cowboy outfit while Bad Bunny narrates in Spanish.

The clip was also accompanied by a series of photos that Bernie shared on his own Instagram, captioning the post with the campaign's slogan, "Paso fino." ("Final step" in English.)

According to the Adidas’ website, Bernie represents the final form of "the kid from the trailer now turned into a real cowboy," who is seen in other campaign photos.

"Through the voice of his brother, Benito, we understand how he became this man who walked his own path to become who he is today, inviting us to explore the unexplored to see the unseen and create the new," a statement reads.

Bysael is an athlete

Unlike his older brothers, who are pursuing creative careers, Bysael is passionate about sports, particularly baseball.

In the spring of 2020, he graduated from Carlos Beltron Baseball Academy, a specialized high school in Florida, per a Facebook post. Bysael then enrolled in Monroe College in the Bronx, New York, where he joined the JV baseball team in 2021, according to the school's athletic website.

That said, over the last year, Bysael has started showing an interest in fashion and traveling, documenting his trips to Puerto Rico and Los Angeles while wearing curated outfits.

Bad Bunny enjoys having his brothers with him when traveling the world on tour.

While being interviewed by The Fader in 2018, the rapper was holed up in an Airbnb with family and longtime friends as he worked to complete his first full-length album, La Nueva Religión. (It has yet to be released.) At the time, Bernie was 21 and preparing to travel with his older brother on his next tour.

In a 2022 GQ profile, Bad Bunny’s creative director, Janthony Olivares, said that both Bernie and Bysael have accompanied their brother on tour.

“Benito is the most family-oriented person I know,” he said. “He brought his middle brother along on tour as soon as he could, and when the younger one finished school he brought him along too. He loves it. It creates a family bubble for him.”

Bad Bunny made a memorable entrance at the 2019 Billboard Latin Music Awards in Las Vegas, where he walked the red carpet with an entourage of friends and family, including his brothers Bernie and Bysael.

The group posed for photos together, with the rapper wearing a lilac suit and electric green hair.

At the 2021 Billboard Music Awards, Bad Bunny shared the spotlight with his siblings again. At the event, which took place at the Microsoft Theater in Los Angeles, the musician took home four awards, including Top Latin Artist and Top Latin Album.

He later posed on the red carpet alongside Bernie and Bysael, who each held one of his awards.
