Bad Bunny is Joined by Surprise Guest and 'Favorite Actor' Pedro Pascal on “Saturday Night Live”

The Puerto Rican rapper performed two tracks during his gig as host and musical guest ahead of his upcoming tour

Bad Bunny made Saturday Night Live viewers laugh — and dance — this weekend.

The Puerto Rican rapper, 29, took over the iconic stage as host and musical performer for the 49th season’s second episode and was joined by a surprise guest and previous SNL host in the form of Pedro Pascal!

During his monologue, Bad Bunny — Benito Antonio Martínez Ocasio — brought out Pascal, 48, who helped translate the rapper's Spanish after he switched from performing the monologue in English, which he said "is not my first language."

The two friends embraced as the actor joined Bad Bunny on stage, and after the rapper spoke a few more sentences in Spanish, Pascal joked, "He says, 'I'm blessed to be here with my favorite actor Pedro Pascal.'"

The rapper then asked Pascal for advice on his monologue. The 'Last of Us' actor explained that "it's always helpful when you do a self-deprecating joke" or "an embarrassing photo."

Bad Bunny then showed a swooning photo of him lying in the sun naked with a small towel covering him. "How is that embarrassing?" Pascal asked him. "Because I forgot to put on clothes!" he replied.

"There's clearly nothing about you to make fun of so why don't you just tell everyone what you want to say," Pascal said. Bad Bunny then ended the monologue by saying how grateful he was to be on SNL and thanking fans for their support.

The actor also joined the rapper in a hilarious sketch where Pascal played a mom unimpressed by her son bringing "another girlfriend" home.

After participating in a variety of sketches, including one with The Rolling Stones icon Mick Jagger, Bad Bunny went back to his musical roots to perform his hits, "Un Preview" — which Lady Gaga introduced during a second surprise cameo — and "Monaco," which was introduced by Pascal.

Just two days before Bad Bunny’s SNL appearance, the Grammy-nominated artist had announced that he would be going on a 31-city North American tour set to kick off on February 2024 in Salt Lake City, Utah.

According to a press release, each performance on Bad Bunny's The Most Wanted Tour will be an "experience curated for day-one fans."

The busy global superstar's tour announcement came just days after he released his highly-anticipated album, Nadie Sabe Lo Que Va A Pasar Mañana (Nobody Knows What Will Happen Tomorrow) on Oct. 13.

The new record follows his award-winning album, Un Verano Sin Ti, which was nominated for album of the year at the 65th Grammy Awards and won the Grammy Award for best música urbana album.

Bad Bunny’s SNL takeover follows Pete Davidson, who made his SNL hosting debut at the season premiere last week after his episode's initial cancellation due to the Writers Guild of America (WGA) strike.

Travis Kelce and Taylor Swift also made surprise cameo appearances in the premiere episode, and were spotted at the afterparty together, along with Davidson and his new flame, Madelyn Cline.

The third episode of SNL’s 49th season will air on Oct. 28. Grammy-nominated stand-up comedian Nate Bargatze is set to host.
