Sony Pictures has dropped a brand new Bad Boys: Ride or Die trailer for the upcoming fourth installment to Will Smith and Martin Lawrence‘s blockbuster action comedy franchise.

The video teases Mike and Marcus’ most challenging case yet, as they become fugitives after getting setup by corrupt people within Miami PD. To prove their innocence, they must work outside the law while fending off threats from everyone who wants to claim their bounty. The film is scheduled to arrive in theaters on June 7.

“This Summer, the world’s favorite Bad Boys are back with their iconic mix of edge-of-your seat action and outrageous comedy but this time with a twist: Miami’s finest are now on the run,” reads the synopsis.

Who’s involved in Bad Boys 4?

Bad Boys: Ride or Die is once again being directed by Bad Boys for Life filmmaking duo Adil El Arbi and Bilall Fallah from a screenplay written by Chris Bremmer. Joining Smith and Lawrence in the new movie are returning cast members Joe Pantoliano, Vanessa Hudgens, Alexander Ludwig, Paola Nunez, John Salley, Jacob Scipio and DJ Khaled. They will be joined by franchise newcomers Tiffany Haddish, Ioan Gruffudd, Rhea Seehorn, Joyner Lucas, Eric Dane, Melanie Liburd and Tasha Smith. It is executive produced by Lawrence, Barry Waldman, Mike Stenson, James Lassiter, Jon Mone and Chris Bremner, with Smith, Chad Oman, Jerry Bruckheimer and Doug Belgrad producing.

According to El Arbi, the upcoming sequel will have a less dramatic tone than the 2020 movie, promising “way more comedy” in the story. “The third one had the dramatic tone,” he said. “With this one, it’s really our purpose to get people laughing and having a good time in the theater. Martin is going to a higher level in this one. This is the culmination of the Marcus Burnett arc.”
