Bad Behavior and Bar Crawlin’ With the Cast of ‘Vanderpump Rules’

If there is a group of people you would want to hang out with at a bar, it’s got to be the sexy SURvers from Vanderpump Rules. Yahoo Celebrity joined the cast of the wildly addictive Bravo show — which focuses on a group of employees working at SUR eatery in West Hollywood, Calif. — as they went on a bar crawl through the Meatpacking District in NYC on Wednesday night. The goal? To promote the upcoming season of their reality series, hitting up Kola House, the Tippler, and No. 8.

Resident bad boy Jax Taylor — along with lovebirds Tom Sandoval and Ariana Madix — spent some time tending bar, while Scheana Shay, Stassi Schroeder, Kristen Doute, and newlyweds Katie Maloney and Tom Schwartz enjoyed cocktails as they mingled with the crowd. Surprisingly (and a little disappointingly), the evening was drama-free.

Although he was busy slinging drinks, Sandoval offered Yahoo Celebrity some solid tips on bar etiquette you might like to keep in mind when you sidle up for a cocktail.

“Know what you want when you get up to the bar,” he advised. “There’s nothing worse than when someone gets my attention and, when I ask what they need, they say, ‘Ummmm…’”

Lady-killer Jax added that when it comes to customers, his biggest pet peeve is “obnoxious boyfriends who think their girlfriends are flirting with me — the worst!” We imagine a jealous boyfriend probably also isn’t the best tipper.

The women of Vanderpump Rules had a slightly different opinion as to what constitutes bad bar behavior.

“I had someone lick my face once,” Scheana shared.

Not to be outdone, Ariana revealed a traumatizing story of her own: “I’ve seen someone literally vomit in front of my well.”

While it may not always be pretty to serve people for a living, it’s definitely entertaining. Jax told us he was floored by some of the awful pick-up lines he’s heard while working at Sur.

“I mean, the stupidity that comes out of these guys’ mouths,” he laughed. “I actually feel bad for the girls.”

But Ariana insisted that they’re not all bad.

“One Halloween, I was wearing a skeleton outfit, and a guy said, ‘You have great bone structure,’ which I thought was really clever,” she smiled. (FYI: That guy clearly didn’t get anywhere with the pretty blonde, who is still happily smitten with Sandoval, her boyfriend of almost three years.)

Speaking of Sandoval, the singer/actor showed off his mixologist skills while making us his favorite new cocktail.

“I love making this drink — this is the Hot Pink,” he said of the pretty and spicy concoction. “It’s a mix of muddled jalapeños, fresh lime juice, fresh grapefruit juice, cranberry juice, and peach vodka.”

On the contrary, Jax prefers simple orders: “Shots are my favorite drink to make.”

If you’re lucky, he’ll probably do one with you.
