'The Bachelorette' finale: Hannah reveals what really happened in windmill with Peter

Welcome to Part I of the two-part season finale "The Bachelorette." Yes, we're already tired – thanks a lot, Luke.

"We're all in for a wild ride," host Chris Harrison says of the two-night live finale in front of a studio audience. Even he doesn't know what's going to happen. But let's get to what's already unfolded …

With two roses left, Hannah has a tough choice to make. She says she can see a future with Jed, Peter and Tyler … but only Jed and Tyler snag the coveted slots. Sorry, Peter! So much for that windmill.

Hannah tearfully sends Peter on his way, saying he's "like, the dream guy" and there's nothing wrong, but evidently it's not enough to keep him around. Peter says she'll always have a piece of his heart and tries to keep it together.

This is the most devastating cut of the season – yes, even more than Connor. Peter says in the limo that he's not mad at Hannah but that he's hurting. "I don't regret anything," he says of his journey, adding he fell in love with her. We fell in love with you, Peter. Maybe you'll fly us around on a Delta plane sometime!

Peter and Hannah reunite, talk love in the time of windmills

In front of the studio audience, Harrison asks Peter if he's OK. (Of course he's not OK, he looks just as devastated sitting there as he did when the Greece scenes were filmed.) Peter says he's grateful for the memories; his whole family is there in the audience to back him up. "They've been the most amazing support system … so grateful for them, just to have them," he says.

He tells Harrison that he knew he was in love with Hannah when fireworks were going off in Latvia. This show and metaphors! He doesn't think you can completely fall out of love with someone (and it's only been two months) but knows healing will come with time. We're crying now.

Hannah comes out, and the two embrace. They haven't seen each other since the breakup, and Peter wants to know what the heck happened. She reiterates there wasn't anything wrong and knows that's hard to hear. (Darn right it is.)

She wishes she knew a little bit sooner about how he felt about her (ugh, dagger to the heart). Of course, he takes all this likes a gentleman.

Was she letting go of the perfect guy? Someone in the studio audience shouts, "You did!" That wasn't us, we swear.

We next hear the biggest bombshell of the night: Hannah and Peter had sex in the windmill four times, not just two. His parents applaud, and we laugh and cringe. Ah, reality television.

Meet the parents: #TeamTyler?

Hannah's parents, Robert and Susanne (plus other relatives), arrive in Greece to meet the remaining gentlemen. They meet Tyler first, who Hannah says she has been falling in love with – finally getting some clarity.

Hannah's mom grills him a bit about how he approaches disagreements, and he explains they've had tough talks. Tyler wants to be her husband, best friend and biggest cheerleader. Susanne says he blew her away.

Robert is impressed with Tyler's character, given that he and Hannah didn't have sex in the fantasy suite.

Hannah says she sees herself getting engaged to Tyler and having him be a part of the family. Right now we're feeling #TeamTyler, which we didn't expect.

"I never thought I'd be this excited about Tyler," Hannah says. She tells him she's been falling in love with him.

Meet the parents: #TeamJed?

The bar is high. After Jed talks about his devotion to being a musician – and how proud he is about a dog food jingle he wrote – it's clear Robert and Susanne aren't 100% on board, particularly when it comes to finances.

Hannah says she appreciates her parents' concern but this is about what's in her heart –though now she's freaking out. She tries to explain to her father that she'll provide for the house, too, but presses him for more insight. Robert tells her he doesn't want her to settle.

Hannah tells Jed that her time with Tyler went well and she's confused. "(Expletive) me, this is why you don't date two people at the same time," she says.

"We know what we have," Jed tries to reassure her. But is that going to be enough, given now both Jed's and Hannah's families don't seem to like them together?

The final dates

Tyler and Hannah go horseback riding again. Much like their relationship's progress throughout the season, this date goes a lot better than riding in the Netherlands. They recap the great time with her family and Hannah says she can "totally" see a future with him. We can too!

"I could see being in his arms forever," Hannah says.

So, what does this mean for Jed? The pair go out on a boat together and Hannah starts feeling seasick. (Or is it her upcoming decision that's more unsettling?)

Jed wants her to know that he can't picture his life without her and says he wants to take care of her and be there for her. Her father's concerns, though, feel heavy.

Hannah doesn't know that she has the clarity she needs for amarriage proposal. She knows she's going to break someone's heart.

As long as Luke's heart stays broken, she can't go wrong with either pick.

We're left wondering, though, at the close of Part I of the finale: What is Chris Harrison talking about when he teases about what happened after the show ended filming? Rumors be damned, we're ready for the capital T "Truth."

Hannah says that since they left Greece, the last few months have been tough and emotional and she knows there are a lot of rumors out there.

Tuesday night's episode includes the last of the filmed content, plus live appearances in front of the studio audience. Hannah says she doesn't know what's going to happen, but has a lot of questions that need to be answered.

"Get some rest tonight," Harrison warns us. It's going to be like no other finale.
