‘Bachelorette’ contestant left with bloody lip after game turns violent
On Tuesday, Tayshia Adams officially replaced former Clare Crawley on the “Bachelorette,” after she exited the show early. And with the new bachelorette came four new suitors, which did not go over very well with the remaining 16 men. Especially when a new guy named Spencer Robertson earned the first impression rose.
When the suitors later played a game of splashball to earn a group date, things got a little aggressive between Spencer and an original suitor named Riley Christian. Riley’s elbow slammed into Spencer’s mouth, splitting his lip.

RILEY: Me and Spencer, we're going at it and loser goes home. And I'm just hoping I don't lose to Spencer.
TAYSHIA ADAMS: Oh.
CHRIS HARRISON: Spencer has been cut.
TAYSHIA ADAMS: Oh no.

- The elbow to the mouth left Spencer's lip bloodied. And while some viewers attributed the violence to jealousy, many more saw it as a preview of more beef to come.
RILEY: Spencer, I think I owe you for my cracked ribs.
SPENCER: I think we're even, dude. If you need any more, let me know.
RILEY: I see guys like you every day. It's rough enough in my particular area that when we come across guys like you, we call you lunch meat.
SPENCER: OK.
