‘Bachelor’ Star Rachael Kirkconnell Apologizes for 'Offensive and Racist' Actions

On Thursday, ‘Bachelor’ contestant Rachael Kirkconnell addressed allegations of racism leveled against her. Rachael has been an early frontrunner since Matt James’ season premiered last month. Her statement comes just one day after the show’s host, Chris Harrison, issued an apology for defending Rachael in an interview with former Bachelorette Rachel Lindsay. Harrison apologized for ‘wrongly speaking in a manner that perpetuates racism.’ Now, other Bachelor Nation stars have spoken out following Chris’ interview, including Katilyn Bristowe, Mike Johnson, Jubilee Sharpe and Nick Viall. The ladies of Matt James’ season also shared a united message, denouncing Chris’ comments. Rachel Lindsay saw the message, reposted it and shared that she was moved by it before sitting down with ‘Good Morning America’ on Friday.
