'I was freaked out': Jade Roper Tolbert opens up on giving birth in her bedroom closet

"Bachelor in Paradise" alum Jade Roper Tolbert, 32, is giving new details about giving birth in her bedroom closet on Tuesday. Tolbert previously announced on Instagram that she had given birth to baby number two with Tanner Tolbert, 32.

"I accidentally gave birth at home last night, in our master closet," Jade Tolbert wrote on Instagram alongside a picture holding her 7 lbs., 9 oz. baby boy amid emergency personal. "I’ve been still processing the shock of this all, as this was not all at what I had planned."

Her water broke while at home watching "The Bachelorette" Monday night, two weeks before her due date, Jade told People, sharing that she took a bath while waiting for childcare arrive for the couple's toddler daughter, Emerson.

"I got out of the tub and my contractions were so intense I couldn’t even keep on top of them," said Jade. "I started pacing in the bathroom and found myself in the closet trying to think about getting clothes on. Then I yelled for Tanner and I was like, 'Tanner it’s happening now!’"

"I was just in a pain and labor fog," she said.

Her husband was still intent on getting his wife dressed and to the hospital.

"And Jade is like, 'No Tanner, I can’t. I can feel the head.' He had already dropped down to the birth canal," Tanner told People. "Once she convinced me it was happening, I was like, 'Oh (expletive)' " Within minutes, "the baby was crowning."

Jade says she was "bent over a bench on my knees, holding the baby in," waiting for emergency personnel to arrive.

Once the ambulance arrived, it took one push before her baby boy had made his entrance at 10:31 p.m., about an hour after the contractions first started.

“One of the main paramedics caught the baby and I cut the cord right there in our closet,” said Tanner. The team then swiftly moved Jade and baby to the hospital.

"In the moment I was freaked out,” said Jade. "We weren’t prepared for a home birth!"

Even "Bachelorette" host Chris Harrison was prompted to comment on Instagram, "Now that's the most dramatic delivery ever."

The couple – who tied the knot in 2016 after meeting on the second season of "Bachelor in Paradise" – are recovering and have introduced their still unnamed, healthy boy to daughter Emerson , who turns two in August.

"I’m really grateful," said Jade. "I mentally kind of lost it at one point. But luckily, I had a really great team behind me. They were my strength in the moment. And it just feels so right to have our son here. It feels like he’s been a part of our family forever."
