The beach's de facto therapist also shares his thoughts on the season finale's two engagements and multiple breakups.

Each week, Bachelor in Paradise bartender/de facto therapist Wells Adams will share his insights about the latest ridiculous happenings on the beach. Today, Wells discusses the breakups, engagements, and "butt sweat" in the season finale.

ENTERTAINMENT WEEKLY: Though I wasn't too surprised by a couple of the splits (Jess and Tanner; Mercedes and Jordan), I really thought Sam P. and Other Pilot Pete would keep dating after Paradise. Why do you think that relationship didn't work out?

WELLS ADAMS: I agree, I was rooting for Sam and Peter! I think at the end of the day, it came down to a logistical issue of location. It's one thing to live in different states, but different countries? That would have been a hard thing for them to overcome.

Kenny and Mari's wedding was lovely, but boy, did it look hot. How did you stave off heat stroke while sitting in the audience?

Oh man, am I glad that they cut out close-up shots of me. I was wearing pants, and when I got up, it looked as though I was sitting in a puddle. On second thought, maybe that's why they cut that out! It was giving "butt sweat."

Your rave outfit was incredible. Where will you wear it next?

I did ask to keep that wardrobe. [My wife] Sarah [Hyland] was staying with me at this point in the season, and I returned to my room in full butterfly garb. She was very into it!

The season ended with two engaged couples — Aaron and Eliza and John Henry and Kat. Most of us expected the former but the latter was a bit of a shock. What do you make of the Kat-John Henry romance?

After seeing their cute paddle-boarding date, I realized that their relationship was much further along than I thought it was. If you ask me, they are perfect for each other!

Finally, congrats on making it through another season. If you had to sum up Bachelor in Paradise season 9 in three words, what would they be?

Expect the unexpected! No season ever turns out the way I think it's going to, and I think that's what I, and Bachelor Nation, love about the show. All things are possible in Paradise.
