The Bachelor and its spin-offs are not exactly known for couples who stay together long-term. Despite the fact that the entire premise of going on the show is to get engaged, it's clearly a strange enough way to meet someone that most of the couples don't work out in the end.

However, The Bachelor is known for contestants from various seasons spending time together, or meeting on shows like Bachelor In Paradise, so it's no surprise that we've seen an uptick in the number of couples that come out of the show.

2019 saw a number of past contestants from the show couple up, get married, have babies, or solidify their relationships.

After breaking up with Shawn Booth, the winner of her season of The Bachelorette last year, Kaitlyn Bristowe moved on pretty quickly to another The Bachelor alum, Jason Tartick.

This couple really kicked things up a notch in 2019, after moving in together in May. They've also adopted another dog this year named Pinot, to join their other dog Ramen Noodle.

Kaitlyn spoke about their relationship on Nick Viall's podcast The Viall Files, saying, “With Jason I don’t think I would have appreciated him for what he is a couple of years ago because I don’t think I was in a healthy mindset myself. I feel like I’ve done so much work on myself that now I’m able to have a healthy relationship with somebody that’s on the same page as me.”

Rachel Lindsay chose Bryan Abasolo as the winner of her season of The Bachelorette and it appears this couple defied the odds.

While very few Bachelors and Bachelorettes have stayed with their chosen person after the show aired, this is one couple who actually did walk down the aisle this year.

After being engaged for two years, the couple were married on August 24 in Cancun, Mexico. Bryan told People, “We are overwhelmed by all the love and support. This is our next chapter.”

The bride made sure they kept things fun and casual, saying, “Things just kind of fell into place. I’m not a bridezilla! I just wanted it to be fun.”

Well, this is one couple we never saw coming! After chasing after Jared for four years, and declaring him her dream guy right after meeting, Ashley finally got her happily-ever-after. This couple just goes to show you, you can never give up on the person you love.

While Ashley was known as always being the one to shed massive amounts of tears on The Bachelor and Bachelor In Paradise, it appeared Jared finally saw things clearly and they finally took their friendship into relationship territory.

The couple married in an emotional wedding this year in Newport, Rhode Island.

Jared reflected on the nuptials on his Instagram, writing, "Ashley is my best friend, my person, my soulmate and now my wife. I love this woman more than words will ever allow me to express."

They gave us quite the shocking season finale when Cassie Randolph broke up with Colton Underwood on his season of The Bachelor, leading to that infamous fence jumping scene that we saw played in every trailer for the show.

However, Colton didn't give up and even went to Cassie's hometown to win her back, promising they didn't need to become engaged, and could simply date after the show.

This couple is still going strong and celebrated their one year anniversary this year. Colton told E! News, "We're still really building a foundation in our relationship. We get to spend the rest of our lives with each other hopefully so there's no need to rush anything."
