Bachelor Joey Graziadei Confuses Gypsy Rose Blanchard for Ruth Bader Ginsburg: 'Am I Wrong?'

When shown a photo of convicted murderer Blanchard, who was released from prison in December, the reality star suggested she was the late Supreme Court Justice

Joey Graziadei had 32 women to keep track of at the start of this season of The Bachelor, so adding two more ladies to the mix might have taken him to his limit.

In a video for Betches where the outlet asked Graziadei, 28, “How Online Are You?” he took a stab at identifying public figures. First, the interviewer showed the tennis pro a photo of Gypsy Rose Blanchard, who was released from prison early in December after serving eight years for her role in the murder of her mother Dee Dee.

“I do know who this person,” Graziadei remarked. “Is it Ruth? No? Is Jinsburg? Ginsburg? Something like that.”

After a pause, Graziadei started to second-guess himself. “Am I wrong?” he asked. “I know that she had something happen where she went to jail because of her mom.”

Then, Graziadei made a cringeworthy shot at the name of the pictured woman.

“Ruth Ginsburg,” he suggested, adding, “I don’t know what I’m saying.”

Ruth Bader Ginsburg served on the Supreme Court for 27 years before she died in September 2020 at age 87.

Graziadei brushed off his misstep and proceeded to guess what animal Beyoncé would want to be, proposing a “lioness.”

On Monday’s episode of The Bachelor, Graziadei embarked on two group dates and a one-on-one date with Jenn Tran. During the first group date, nine women competed in a Mrs. Right pageant where they modeled their favorite loungewear, answered questions and showed off a talent. Graziadei received backlash from some of the women for picking Lexi Young as the winner because she chose kissing as her talent.

“Kissing was not a talent,” Edwina Dorbor complained in an interview.

Maria Georgas also expressed concerns that he “validated” kissing as a talent. “I was just not in my comfort zone,” the executive assistant, 29, told Graziadei.

Later in the episode, Graziadei addressed concerns of bullying with Georgas after Sydney Gordon brought them to his attention.

“What I was hearing was the words ‘verbally abusive,’ ‘hostile environment,’ feeling like she couldn’t share how she was feeling and as soon as someone spoke up, you were attacking them and were cursing out some of the other women,” he said to Georgas.

Georgas refuted the claims, telling the Philadelphia native, “I have been bullied and this is just not it.”

Graziadei believed her and realized, perhaps he should’ve dug deeper when talking to Gordon, 28.

“I probably should’ve asked some more questions and I’m realizing that now,” Graziadei surmised.

Ultimately, Graziadei kept both Georgas and Gordon around.
