'Bachelor' Host Chris Harrison Addresses Creator Mike Fleiss Allegations of Abuse

"The Bachelor" host, Chris Harrison, has broken his silence about the disturbing allegations against creator Mike Fleiss

Harrison, who also hosts "The Bachelorette" sat down with Entertainment Tonight’s Lauren Zima for "The Ringer’s Bachelor Party podcast."

Mike Fleiss has been ordered to stay 100 feet away from his wife after she filed a complaint that he was verbally and physically abusive.

Chris contrasted the ongoing situation to the 2017 Corrine Olympios scandal between her and DeMario Jackson.

If you don't remember, the drama on "Bachelor In Paradise" went down when Olympios claimed she was taken advantage of by Jackson after she was plied with alcohol by show producers.

“I won’t get too deep into this, but I will say as far as those two situations, they’re very different,” Harrison told Zima.

“Because 'Bachelor in Paradise', that was a production situation, something that happened on our set, having to do with our show, was relevant to our production... so that was my concern as far as production," he explained.

Chris went on to say, “Mike Fleiss and his situation is completely different because it is a very personal, private matter between he, his wife, his kids, his family ... and outside of production.”

Two weeks ago, Fleiss filed for divorce from Laura Fleiss after five years of marriage.

According to documents, he cited irreconcilable differences.

The filing also claims the two have a prenuptial agreement with Laura, with whom he shares 4-year-old son, Benjamin. Additionally, Mike requested joint legal and physical custody of the child.

Less than a week after Mike filed for divorce, Laura filed an emergency domestic violence restraining order, claiming that on July 4, "While we were at our house in Kauai, Mike demanded that I get an abortion. Our son Ben was in the house, seated in another room nearby. Mike told me, 'If you have an abortion, then we can just go back to the way we were.'"

Laura obtained the temporary restraining order, and also got an order of protection for the family dog, a Doberman pinscher named, Nina.

Laura, who is the 2012 Miss America winner, claims she is about 10 weeks pregnant with the couple's second child.

There has been no official word on Fleiss' continued involvement with "The Bachelor" franchise.
