The Bachelor's Colton Underwood Shocks His Final 2 Women After Cassie's Rejection: 'I'm Done'

Chris Harrison really does say it best: This might be the most dramatic season of The Bachelor yet.

Monday night’s episode wastes no time diving into the drama, picking up with Chris desperately trying to track Colton Underwood down after he jumped the fence following his emotional goodbye with Cassie.

“He just jumped the f—— fence,” Chris says. “I have no idea where he went. We are out in the middle of nowhere.”

The crew begins walking the streets of Portugal, calling after Colton (who has ripped his mic-pack off), to no avail. At one point, Chris admits that if they can’t find him within a half-hour, they will have to call the police.

“He is gone,” he says. “We have no idea where the guy is.”

(Does anyone else think Colton would be a killer hide-and-seek player?)

When they finally do find him, Colton is in no mood to talk.

“I’m done with this s—,” he says.

“You want to be done with the whole thing?” asks Chris.

“Yeah,” Colton replies. “Every time I put myself out there I get f—— rejected.”

Heart-to-Heart with Chris

After returning to the hotel and getting a night’s sleep, Colton sits down with Chris to figure out what his next step should be.

Colton admits that he didn’t know how much Cassie truly meant to him until she walked away.

“I was falling in love with Tayshia and I was falling in love with Hannah. I fell in love with Cassie,” he says. “Cassie shut my heart off.”

When Colton says he thinks Cassie’s hesitation came from having two other women still involved, Chris finally asks the question we’ve all been thinking: “What if she’s just not that into you?”

“I feel like I have a pretty good gut instinct and I feel like I can read people pretty well,” Colton says. “I think she loves me. I think she’s scared to admit that.”

“I came here for love and I found it,” he adds. “Life without Cassie wouldn’t be complete. Cassie completes me right now.”

Colton says he’s decided to fight for his relationship with Cassie — which means having to say goodbye to both Tayshia and Hannah G.

Conversation with Tayshia

Colton approaches Tayshia first. After having already gone through their fantasy suite date, she was rightfully confused and shocked to see him show up at her hotel room door. But when he asks if they can speak outside, she immediately knows something is wrong.

“It’s okay,” she tells him when he becomes emotional. No girl, it’s not okay.

After taking a moment gathering his thoughts, Colton breaks up with Tayshia.

“I knew that I was falling for you but in my heart I know I can’t love two people,” he says. “My heart is with somebody else. I love Cassie.”

Not knowing what to say, she asks to go speak inside without cameras — but they leave their microphones on.

“I don’t want to go through this,” she says once they are back inside her hotel room.

While they both shed a few tears and can be heard comforting each other, Tayshia seems to take the news pretty well, all things considered.

“You’re a good guy,” she says before he leaves.

Conversation with Hannah G.

Next up, Colton has to break up with Hannah, who hasn’t been on her fantasy suite date yet — and hasn’t even seen him since arriving in Portugal.

“I have so much that I want to talk with Colton about. I’m just looking forward to spending time with Colton overnight,” she says. “This week is the perfect chance to tell Colton that I love him and that I could see myself spending the rest of my life with him.”

When he shows up at her hotel, Hannah is confused but super excited. She seems to think she’s just getting extra time, but little does she know.

Colton begins to break up with Hannah. He starts by complimenting her and talking about how special their relationship is, but once he admits he loves someone else, Hannah’s face drops.

“I realized that I can’t be in love with two people and where my feelings are in another relationship is at a stronger point than where I’m at with you,” he says. “I realized that I love Cassie.”

Hannah is in total disbelief and left nearly speechless. “I didn’t expect for you to say that,” she says.

Colton then admits that he initially expected to end up with Hannah at the end of the show.

“I thought it was going to be you,” he says. “You still remind me of home.”

After processing what is happening, Hannah starts to get angry. When she pushes Colton for more explanation, he offers her nothing.

“I just want to get out of here because I’m so embarrassed,” she says. “I don’t know why I let myself open up and I don’t know why I let myself think of the chance of it actually being us.”

While Colton was upset after leaving Tayshia, he has a full breakdown after walking away from Hannah — leaving him to question his decision.

“I’m saying goodbye to somebody who loves me,” he says. “I don’t know if I’m giving up a sure thing for something that’s impossible. That’s literally how much I love Cassie, that I’m willing to walk away from somebody that great.”

Colton’s Big Decision

Meanwhile, Cassie is seen packing up her stuff as she prepares to leave Portugal. “I’m going to miss Colton,” she says.

“I did make the right choice because I can’t be here. Not because I don’t care about him a lot, but because I can’t make a commitment as soon as Colton.”

“I don’t want him to base any decision off of me,” she says. TOO LATE. “I can’t handle the pressure of being the girl that takes something that could possibly be really special for him, away.”

Yikes, doesn’t sound like someone who’s ready to be chased after.

But no matter how upset Colton may be about his emotional goodbyes with Hannah and Tayshia, his determination to try and win Cassie doesn’t waver. “I want Cassie,” he says.

“Right now, I have to do what feels right and do what feels best for me, because I came here for love, and I love somebody.”

The episode ends with Colton knocking on what appears to be Cassie’s hotel room door.”I know what I need to do,” he says, tears streaming down his face.

“I don’t know if I’m fighting for something that’s not possible. But I’m willing to do anything and everything because that’s how much I love Cassie.”

Part 2 of The Bachelor‘s finale airs Tuesday at 8 p.m. ET on ABC.
