Bach Nation's Mike Johnson Predicts Matt James Will Be the 'Best Bachelor There Has Ever Been'

PLUS: Mike talks about how 'genuine' Tayshia Adams was as 'The Bachelorette'

This post contains spoilers from Monday's episode of The Bachelor.

Monday's episode of The Bachelor picked up mid-rose ceremony, with Sarah having just fainted.

While Matt James comforted her, the other women complained about how Sarah had already received a rose and whispered about how Sarah had supposedly told them she didn't know "if she's cut out for this."

"I've definitely never fainted for attention, and I don't think I've ever even fainted," Victoria told the cameras. "You've got to pull it together and don't faint. This is The Bachelor, it's not The Sarah Show, but Sarah didn't get that memo."

After Matt and Sarah both apologized to the group, he continued to hand out roses to Khaylah, Mari, MJ, Anna, Kaili and Victoria. That meant he sent home Marylynn after Victoria called her "toxic" to Matt, seemingly without evidence.

"I do have to admit that she's a good actor," Marylynn said in an on-camera interview of Victoria, the self-proclaimed "queen."

Then Victoria set her sights on getting Sarah sent home. "Sarah is worse than Marylynn because she's not directly attacking one person, she is interfering with everyone's relationships," Victoria claimed. "Her fainting spell came across really fake. Seriously, like, all the fake bitches can all go home."

FIRST GROUP DATE

Rachael, Bri, Lauren, Kit, Serena C., Victoria, Khaylah, Anna, Kaili and Katie found themselves on the first group date this week, which started with an erotic reading of Chris Harrison's book The Perfect Letter by former franchise star Ashley Iaconetti. Ashley informed the women that they'd be writing their own love story with Matt to share with the rest of ladies.

The expletive-filled presentations had everyone in the room gasping and laughing, but Matt told the ladies he loved hearing the stories.

Back at the resort, Sarah started feeling "emotionally exhausted" because other women were spending time with Matt. "In my past, dealing with faithfulness and commitment issues and jealousy and all of those feelings and emotions are coming back so quickly," she said. So Sarah crashed the group date afterparty while Matt was speaking to Katie.

"I feel like I had to tell you how I'm doing," Sarah said to Matt, who told her not to "compare what you hear or what you see to what we have."

Seeing that Katie was annoyed at being interrupted, Sarah apologized to the women on the group date. They did not understand why Sarah had come, especially since all the women had been promised a date this week.

Sarah left crying and Victoria went after her. "It was a personal conversation on our time and I think, too, the issue with why the girls are confused is that we tonight had a different vibe and you kind of changed the vibe up," she told Sarah.

Then Katie came out. "This was eating away at me and I felt like I had to address it," Sarah said. "I think I'm really questioning if I can be here and if I can do this."

Katie felt frustrated because Sarah had already had a one-on-one date with Matt, and she hadn't. "I think you could have tried to find a different time to talk to him," Katie said.

Despite the hiccup, Matt gave out a group date rose to Rachael and called the date "amazing."

Season 25 of The Bachelor premieres Jan. 4th at 8 p.m. on ABC

ONE-ON-ONE DATE

Before heading out on his date with Serena P., Matt went to find Sarah in her room. He flopped on her bed and assured her that even though she had packed her bags to leave, "I want you around and I want you to be part of this."

"I have real feelings for you," Matt added before they kissed.

After that, Serena P. and Matt finally left on their date to go horseback riding. Later, they sipped champagne and enjoyed a charcuterie board while Serena shared that her dad didn't support her coming on the show. But "I trust myself," she told Matt.

Matt said his mom did support him and the show because she understands the pain of growing old without a partner if you want one. He and Serena shared a kiss and took selfies with the farm animals nearby.

During the dinner portion of the evening, Matt and Serena talked about their futures and how they saw one another fitting into that picture. They both agreed they could see potential with one another, and Matt gave her a rose.

"Matt and I are really good together," Serena told the cameras. "I do think it's possible that I could fall in love with him."

While Serena enjoyed her date, the rest of the women hung out in their living room and grew frustrated that Sarah stayed in her room. When Sarah did emerge, she apologized again to the group.

"I know the timing was bad and I sincerely apologize, but yesterday I was planning on going home just because I was really overwhelmed by this process and I wanted to talk about that with him face-to-face," Sarah said. "I knew what I was getting into, I just didn't expect it to be this difficult this fast."

The women weren't all that receptive. Anna felt Sarah hadn't had a difficult time on the show because she already had a one-on-one with Matt, and Khaylah said that Sarah took time from the girls on the group date that could cost them roses.

"I hope that your connection with Matt is very strong right now, because the rest of your living situation here is going to be horrible," Kit told Sarah. Victoria laughed in agreement.

The next day, MJ called Sarah out again for hiding in her room. "She's ostracized herself from the group," MJ told Pieper.

Katie went to check on Sarah, who had been crying. "I've already made up my mind. I decided I'm going to leave," Sarah told Katie. "I can't do this. It's been a combo of things. It wasn't just last night."

Katie tried to convince Sarah to stay but Sarah felt she was "not cut out for this and I just can't give this my all. All of my worst insecurities are coming out. I really have to put my wellbeing first and I'm not in a good headspace here."

Sarah continued to cite her dad's ALS diagnosis as another reason she wanted to go home. "I 100 percent encourage you to be with him," said Katie, whose dad died in 2012.

SARAH'S DEPARTURE

Ahead of the second group date, Katie shared with the other women that Sarah had decided to go home — and Victoria clapped. "I want to remind everyone to stay classy in this process, because we don't know our stories," Katie told the group.

Meanwhile, Sarah spoke with Matt about her choice to leave. "I don't want to lose you," Matt told her.

"I just felt really called to go home and be with my family," Sarah said. "I just don't think I'm ready for this."

Matt accepted her decision and told Sarah, "I'm going to miss you."

Sarah cried on the car ride out, admitting, "Part of me thinks I'm making a mistake."

While Sarah tapped out, The Bachelor teased that five new women will arrive next week, one of whom the ladies think might be an "escort."

The Bachelor airs Mondays (8 p.m. ET) on ABC.
