Baby Keem’s The Melodic Blue short film is now available for fans to look into the rapper’s world. Directed by Savannah Setten, the visual exclusively features three new unreleased tracks by Baby Keem, “Rock Me,” “Torch,” and “White Laces” featuring James Blake. Notably, the project signals the end of the Grammy-nominated performer’s The Melodic Blue era.

Released on Tuesday (Dec. 4), the 20-minute visual explores the 23-year-old’s internal battle and leads viewers through fragments of memory and temptation as he navigates the depths of The Melodic Blue. The film is now streaming on Prime Video.

The Melodic Blue stars Baby Keem alongside Amandla Stenberg, Shakira Ja’nai Paye, Francis Lovehall, and Séréna Sy. It was written by pgLang, produced by Jamie Rabineau and Cornell Brown, and executive produced by Baby Keem, Kendrick Lamar, and Dave Free.

The Melodic Blue album, released in September 2021, features Kendrick Lamar, Travis Scott, and Don Toliver across 16 tracks. Serving as Baby Keem’s debut, the LP was updated with a deluxe version the following year with 10 new songs, adding Lil Uzi Vert, Pink Pantheress, and Brent Faiyaz to the list of guest artists.

“I don’t think music has anything out right now like this project,” the Las Vegas native explained to Billboard at the time of the initial release. “I took my time carefully recording every vocal. I was going through a lot during that process, just becoming a man.”
