B2 Outlets will consolidate Holland stores, filling former Reliable Sport at Cedar Village Mall

HOLLAND — Two outlet stores in Holland will consolidate into a single location in the coming months, leaving their current homes in Holland Town Center and on Washington Avenue.

B2 Outlet Stores will open two separate storefronts in Cedar Village Mall, filling the suites left vacant when Reliable Sport closed unexpectedly in May 2019.

The "off-price" retailer sells brand-new, name-brand clothing and goods at discounted prices, while giving a portion of profits back into local and global causes. One storefront will remain under the B2 Outlet Store name, while another will hold B2 Bargain Bins — a recent extension of the company.

According to Erik Durham, director of creative and brand development, B2 Bargain Bins has falling prices daily, with returned goods, overstock items and shelf-pulls that begin at $7 on Tuesdays before falling to $5 on Wednesdays, $3 on Thursdays, $1 on Fridays and 25 cents on Saturdays.

"Our Holland location will have roughly 100 bins to choose from," Durham wrote in an email to The Sentinel.

The storefronts in Holland Town Center and on Washington Avenue are expected to close in late July or early August. The Bargain Bins storefront is slated to open in June, while the B2 Outlet Store will open later.

"The choice to consolidate our two Holland locations into one really stems from what has been the next big step in our company," Durham wrote. "Beginning with our Hudsonville store relocation last August, we have thoughtfully opted to move to larger footprints in order to offer our consumers not only more inventory to shop from, but better inventory as well."

B2 has 22 outlet locations in Michigan, but the Bargain Bin location in Holland will be the company's third, following openings in Hudsonville and Grand Rapids.

"With the inflation crisis we all have experienced in some facet or another, we definitely recommend shopping with us first over other retailers as you are going to save money with us," Durham wrote. "And especially right now, every dollar matters."
