B.G. has seemingly responded to accusations that he cooperated with law enforcement amid speculation that the rapper “snitched” in exchange for a lenient sentence.

The New Orleans native, who was released from prison earlier this year, spoke with Pop Austin Media about the allegations, which were recently made by Wack 100. While B.G. says the questions regarding his character initially left him perturbed, he has since shrugged those feelings off after receiving counsel from figures he respects regarding the matter.

“At first I was feeling some type of way but the ni**as whose opinion matter reached out to me, you know what I’m saying?” the Chopper City creator told host TTE Notti. “I’ve been paying attention to this internet and this internet a fool, ya heard me? This sh*t a beast. You know, the internet undefeated and truth don’t need no cosigner.”

He then appeared to accuse Wack and others of stirring up controversy as a ploy to gain attention and publicity. “So once I told them my real jail ni**as reached out to me and they heard about it and then the ni**as on the streets that I know standing on business, they like, ‘Don’t even pay that sh*t no point,'” he said. “‘Ni**as just trying to use your light to pull them out the darkness.’ What’s understood don’t need to be explained.”

Wack 100 has said he has paperwork proving that B.G. is an informant, but has yet to provide any concrete evidence to support his claim. The rap manager’s assertion has ruffled the feathers of Birdman and Boosie Badazz, both of whom lashed out at Wack 100 for labeling their collaborator and friend a “snitch” and casting false accusations upon him.

B.G. was arrested in 2009 during a traffic stop in New Orleans, which resulted in the recovery of multiple firearms, loaded magazines and two extended magazine clips. He would plead guilty to two counts of possession of a firearm and one count of conspiracy to obstruct justice in December of 2011 and be sentenced to 14 years in prison in July 2012.

B.G. was released from prison this past September and recently dropped Choppers & Bricks, his collaborative album with Gucci Mane and his first full-length release since his arrival home.
