Yes, it happened. Sheila Carter is alive and not so well. Scratch that. A nine-toed Sheila is alive and not so well. That means Deacon and Finn’s discovery mission paid off in the Monday, April 29 episode of The Bold and the Beautiful. Needless to say, we have questions.

The Case of the Missing Nine-Toed Sheila

Deacon (Sean Kanan) was determined. He knew who he saw at the crematorium wasn’t his Sheila (Kimberlin Brown). All we’ve heard for the last few weeks was “ten toes.” Then he dug into Sheila Carter’s emails and texts. He interrogated Lauren Fenmore (Tracey Bregman) about Sugar (also Kimberlin Brown). All the clues led him and Finn (Tanner Novlan) to an alley by what looked like an abandoned warehouse.

After getting some last intel from an unhoused individual (played by Clint Howard), the restaurant owner and the doctor entered the building, turned their flashlight on their phones, and searched for a sign of life. And they found her. (Find out what role Sean Kanan’s daughter played in Deacon’s mission to rescue Sheila)

Finn discovered her first, but before Deacon drew any major inclusions, he took the sock off the Sheila look-a-like they found. She had nine-toes! It was their Sheila.

This Sheila Development Raises a Million Questions

The end of the Friday revealed a hand. At the end of Monday’s episode, we saw an unconscious Sheila under that blanket or tarp. And then we saw the nine toes. NINE TOES.

We hope Sheila doesn’t stay unconscious for long because this “surprise” development raises many questions.

  • How did Sheila end up unconscious?

  • How did Sugar lure Sheila to the building?

  • Their texts weren’t friendly — was this a set-up, or was this planned, and who was the mastermind?

  • Why did Sugar then go and attack Steffy (Jacqueline MacInnes Wood)? And why did it seem like she literally fell on her sword?

  • Was this about pinning Sugar’s murder on Steffy? Because that backfired when the cops almost immediately called it self-defense.

  • Or was this about Sugar trying to pin a murder on Sheila for revenge? And then her plan backfired? Or could this be another Sheila fakeout to gain sympathy and redemption?

There is so much we still need to find out. In addition, there’s a reckoning that will have to happen.

  • Obviously, after initial questions are answered, will Deacon still feel the same about Sheila?

  • Will Finn finally answer the question of whether he feels something real for his bio mother?

  • How will Steffy react to the news that Sheila is alive?

  • How will this shocking news affect Steffy and Finn’s marriage? In the promo for this week, Ivy (Ashleigh Brewer) is back in Los Angeles and romancing Liam (Scott Clifton). Will jealousy erupt when she sees Liam with Ivy?

  • Will Liam’s waffling ways return when he realizes Sheila’s alive and Steffy’s marriage may be in trouble?

  • If Steffy has trouble with Finn’s reaction to Sheila alive, will he turn to a more understanding Hope?

According to Deadline, Kimberlin Brown said she had no idea Sheila would be “resurrected.” And she’s currently negotiating a new contract. So the show will ride this Sheila train out for a while. (Read more details on Soap Hub)
