Lots of news coming from the Guns N’ Roses-AC/DC camp: Yesterday, AC/DC announced that due to singer Brian Johnson being unable to tour on doctor’s orders (or risk “total hearing loss“), Guns N’ Roses singer Axl Rose will step in to replace him. The band’s official statement reads: “We are dedicated to fulfilling the remainder of our touring commitments to everyone that has supported us over the years, and are fortunate that Axl Rose has kindly offered his support to help us fulfill this commitment.”

Last night GN’R appeared at Coachella, where, in addition to performing classics like “November Rain,” “Welcome to the Jungle,” and “Sweet Child O’ Mine,” the group (minus guitarist and co-founder Izzy Stradlin) brought out AC/DC guitarist Angus Young, who played “Whole Lotta Rosie” and “Riff Raff” with everyone.
