Award-winning artists to perform at Fayetteville's New Year's Eve bash

R&B group Dru Hill and DJ Spinderella, of Salt-N-Pepa fame are set to perform in Fayetteville on New Year's Eve

The event, A Night Circus: A District New Year's Eve Spectacular, returns to Fayetteville's Festival Park to for its third year.

Festivities begin at 7 p.m. New Year's Eve and end at 12:30 a.m. New Year's Day.

The Baltimore-born group Dru Hill topped the Billboard Music charts with hits such as "How Deep Is Your Love" and "Wild Wild West" will also be attending the event. Named for their Druid Hill Park neighborhood in Baltimore, the group has received multiple awards, performed across the world, topped the Billboard Music charts multiple times, and has sold over 40 million records worldwide in over twenty-five years of performing.

DJ Spinderella, as a member of Salt-N-Pepa, released five studio albums with more than 15 million records sold, including several gold and platinum singles.

Other performers at the event include local DJs, airborn aerials, stilt walkers, LED jugglers, balloon makers, fire breathers, face painters and a mirror man.

At midnight, an 18-foot, multi-colored star, illuminated by a burst of fireworks, will be raised.

Security will inspect all bags coming into Festival Park. Alcohol, animals, laser pointers, glass containers, weapons, fireworks, cans, hard-sided/large coolers, large or oversized bags/backpacks or illegal substances are prohibited.
