Avril Lavigne and Chad Kroeger Continue to Keep Us Guessing

If there are any major Avril Lavigne and Chad Kroeger shippers out there — and we say “if” because we’ve never met anyone who described themselves as such — they are being toyed with.
The musicians, who announced in September 2015 that they are ending their marriage, were together yet again and looking quite cozy. Avril, 31, posted a photo of the happy reunion with the Nickelback singer, 41, on Instagram early Wednesday morning. They are both holding instruments and are in the studio. (Avril is working on her sixth studio album.)
There is no caption on the pic, but Avril, who’s been battling Lyme disease since the spring of 2014, was smiling so widely she nearly edged Chad out of the photo.
The 1,100-plus comments on the pictured ranged from, “So beautiful when are together <3” to “WTF Avril?”
Leading up to their split announcement, the pair, who married in 2013 after just a year of dating, had rarely been seen together. However, since then, they have been spotted out partying together at Sunset Marquis in December and then they walked the red carpet together at Clive Davis’s pre-Grammys party in February. Avril posted an Instagram photo of them together that night as well.

What does it mean? We have no idea. But this is the girl who launched a career on a song called “Complicated.” She’s certainly living up to that.
