Avoiding Thomas Markle Is One Of Meghan and Harry's Biggest Mistakes
The Markle family saga continues, and Meghan's family members keep putting out one embarrassing statement after another. Now, her father, Thomas Markle, has spoken out in a television documentary, revealing his side of how things went down before the 2018 royal wedding.
Reportedly, the last time Meghan talked to her father was right before the wedding, and the bride suffered huge embarrassment and sadness that he was not there to walk her down the aisle. Especially considering the fact he had staged paparazzi photos right before.

Prince Charles Walked Meghan Markle Down The Aisle
Prince Charles ended up stepping up to the plate and walking Meghan part-way down the aisle, with Thomas able to do little except watch the proceedings on television with the rest of the world.
Now, in a 90-minute documentary that premiered on Channel 5 in the U.K., Thomas spoke about the gut-wrenching moment, claiming he cried while he watched the wedding from a "safe house."
He had just been released from the hospital after suffering a heart attack and needing an operation.
Thomas Markle Claims He Was "Jealous" Of Charles
He said during the interview how he was "jealous" of Prince Charles for being able to walk Meghan down the aisle, as it was something he "really wanted to do."
He continued, "My daughter looked beautiful. I wish that I could have been there with her. I was certainly appreciative Charles was there. I admit I cried a bit about that. To this day I can't forget that moment."
It's a hard moment to watch; a father estranged from his daughter, and unable to be in her life during one of the most special periods.
The Sussexes Have Frozen Him Out
While the couple have obviously frozen him out, and have not spoken to him since before the royal wedding, it's been a massive mistake on Harry and Meghan's part.
What they should have done, was send someone to help Thomas Markle in the weeks leading up to the wedding, as the man was clearly not equipped to deal with the sudden onslaught of attention he was receiving.
And, now, with Meghan and Harry giving him the silent treatment, he is continuing to speak out and share private conversations and moments that the couple most likely don't want in the press.
Freezing Thomas Out Has Been One Of The Couple's Biggest Mistakes
What will be most embarrassing for the couple is the fact that he is once again being paid for the interview, and that he is claiming he now wants to be taken care of.
During the interview, he said, "At this point, they owe me. The royals owe me. Harry owes me, Meghan owes me. What I've been through I should be rewarded for. My daughter told me that when I reach my senior years she'll take care of me. I'm in my senior years now – it's time to look after Daddy."
If only Meghan and Harry had chosen to speak to Thomas to try and settle things, they wouldn't be dealing with the cringe-inducing interviews he's been giving so publicly recently. Perhaps, this has been one of their biggest mistakes.
