This Is The Average Time Spent By Instagram Users
Have you ever checked your Instagram feed, looked at the clock, and suddenly realized that fifteen minutes have gone by? You're probably not alone, because the average amount of time spent on Instagram is more than 32 minutes for under-25-year-old users, and then more than 24 minutes for over-25-year-old users.
Instagram debuted these figures as part of the one-year anniversary of its Stories feature, which was pretty much effectively "inspired" by Snapchat. And somewhat surprisingly, Instagram's usage times were actually on average higher than Snapchat's most recent public figures (over 30 minutes for under-25-year-old users, and about 20 minutes for over-25-year-old users).
Of course, if you look simply at the average time spent, that's like... not a lot, right? But it makes sense, especially if you're someone who checks the app for a little bit of time, multiple times a day.
Also part of Instagram's release: Its most popular hashtags, which are, in order of popularity, #GOODMORNING, #WORK, and #GOODNIGHT. That all checks out! Now if the app ever decides to share, say, how long you spend on specific profiles? Those would be some truly disruptive figures.
